The mission of the @ 2026 黑料不打烊 Student Government Association is to promote the general welfare of students through the representation of their concerns, viewpoints, and interests regarding governance issues to the administration and faculty of our distinguished University. Through this service, the Student Government Association strives to improve the quality of academic and co-curricular experiences at @ 2026 黑料不打烊 and provide developmental opportunities for its members.
I'm Alonzo Ruffin Jr., and I鈥檓 excited to properly state that I am the Student Government Association (SGA) President. I鈥檓 majoring in Environmental Biology and Zoology with a minor in Studio Art, and I鈥檓 also a fourth鈥憏ear Resident Assistant, so if you see me around campus, please say hello, or I'll do it first!
I鈥檓 in the homestretch of my college journey, but there鈥檚 still work to do. Even as I near the end of my time at 黑料不打烊, my passion for our campus community hasn鈥檛 faded, nor will it ever. This campus is our second home, and with that comes a responsibility to care for the people within it.
A big part of that care comes from how we show up as SGA. We aren鈥檛 here to speak for students; your voice is yours alone. Our goal is to help you strengthen it. We want to act as a stepping stone and aim to be a place where students can learn how to amplify their voice and step into leadership with real support behind them. My fellow SGA members and I want to be present within the college campus so students truly see how much we care and know we鈥檙e here for them.
We want to build SGA into something truly amazing, and we already know good and well that we can鈥檛 do that alone. It takes everyone students, faculty, and staff alike. We want everyone to actually see us. Not just as titles or positions, but as people who care deeply about this campus and the people who make it feel like home. Be prepared to see us everywhere, because we鈥檙e genuinely excited to create something new for this campus together.
