The office of University Marketing works in support of the president. University Marketing works closely with University Communications, University Printing & Mailing Center, Admissions, the College Marketers, other University unit marketers.

Brand Guidelines

@ 2026 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's brand showcases our history and brings new initiatives to light that move us forward. Together, we position Western as one community to reach more students who share our Leatherneck values. This guide helps all ambassadors—anyone representing ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ—apply the brand.

University Marketing Functions

  1. Establish and promote a consistent brand for @ 2026 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ (ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ).
  2. Safeguard the integrity of the brand.
  3. Develop and promote a design and messaging strategy that supports the University’s brand.
  4. Communicate and integrate the University’s brand and messaging strategy across the University including both campuses, the colleges, and other university units.
  5. Communicate and promote the University’s brand and key messages to our internal audiences, and our external audiences of alumni, donors, and prospective students and their parents through a variety of advertising and promotional mediums.
  6. Serve as a resource for units across the University.
  7. Promote ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and its Macomb campus locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
  8. Manage the University’s trademark and licensing program.
