ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Faculty & Students Attend IgniteHR

MACOMB, IL — @ 2026 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Human Resource Management (HRM) faculty and students from the School of Accounting and Business Administration recently attended the IgniteHR event hosted by the Great River Human Resource Association, a regional chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management.

The event featured interactive sessions highlighting emerging trends, best practices and key insights in the field of human resource management. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ participants had the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals, expand their professional networks and gain real-world perspectives on the evolving HR field. The event also provided a meaningful opportunity to connect with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumni currently working in human resource management.

Faculty member Susan Stewart emphasized the value of the experience for both students and instructors.

"This was an incredible opportunity to network with human resource professionals, including ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumni who were my former students," Stewart said. "The event was very interactive and allowed us to gain valuable perspectives about the HRM field, which we will bring into our classrooms."

Experiences such as this highlight the importance of experiential education, allowing students to connect classroom learning with real-world professional practice.
