MACOMB, IL - - Meet Claire Henniges, a double major graduate of @ 2026 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's Computer Science and Mathematics programs, who was hired as a Business Analyst with FieldView, a division of Bayer Crop Science.
Henniges, of Milan, initially joined Bayer FieldView as a summer analytics intern, during which she worked on several impactful projects. After the internship, Hennings was invited back as a part-time employee to work remotely, where she continues to deepen her understanding of data pipelines that support the company's analytics workflows and expand her technical skills in advanced structured query language (SQL) and Tableau.
When a full-time business analytics position became available, Henniges completed both technical and behavioral interviews. During the interview process, she applied the knowledge she gained from her internship and part-time work to problem-solving scenarios.
During her time at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, Henniges said his coursework played a key role in preparing her for this position.
"My studies in Computer Science and Mathematics at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ gave me the technical depth and analytical foundation needed for this role," Henniges said. "Courses like Database Systems help me understand SQL and database design at a deeper level, while my mathematics coursework, mathematical modeling and statistics gave me confidence in interpreting and analyzing datasets beyond basic visualization. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's Computer Science and Mathematics programs gave me both practical technical skills and analytical confidence that I bring into the workforce."
Henniges plans to remain involved with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, keeping in touch with faculty, mentoring students and participating in alumni events.
