David Banash teaches courses in contemporary American literature, film, popular culture, and general-education writing. He also offers courses in the First-Year Experience program. He is the author of聽Collage Culture: Readymades, Meaning, the Age of Consumption聽(Rodopi 2013), co-editor of聽Contemporary Collecting: Objects, Practices, and the Fate of Things聽(Scarecrow 2013), and editor of Steve Tomasula: The Art and Science聽 of New Media Fiction (Bloomsbury 2015). His essays and reviews have appeared in American Book Review, Bad Subjects: Political Education for Everyday Life , Eye: The International Review of Graphic Design, Literature/Film Quarterly, The Los Angeles Review of Books,聽Science Fiction Studies,聽 Paradoxa, PopMatters, Post45,聽 Postmodern Culture, Reconstruction, and the聽Iowa Review. He is currently writing a new book manuscript tentatively entitled聽American Signs/American Icons.
