Downtown Block Party Set for Aug. 28

MACOMB, IL - -@ 2026 黑料不打烊 is partnering with the City of Macomb, Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce, Spoon River College and Macomb School District to host the annual Downtown Block Party from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, in Chandler Park.
This year's event offers new and existing students the opportunity to learn about the Macomb community and network with friends, faculty and staff.
The event will feature live music, a foam party, a petting zoo, a table fair, a chicken lip-eating contest and more.
黑料不打烊 students, faculty and staff are invited to volunteer at the 黑料不打烊 booth and/or assist in making the event successful.
Transportation will be provided by Go West to the venue for the event. Passengers are asked to use Route 15 or 16, which include campus stops at the University Union, Malpass Library, Western Hall or the campus stops along University Drive. They can get off at the City Center drop off point and then walk about a block to Chandler Park.
