Just Hired: Griffin Skees

MACOMB, IL - - Meet Griffin Skees, a 2025 Education graduate who now works as an 3-5th grade social studies teacher at VIT Elementary in Ipava.
Skees was able to connect with the local district at the 黑料不打烊 education job fair in 2024, making an instant impact. Skees鈥檚 face-to-face networking led the school district to be immediately interested in bringing her on board.
鈥淚 was immediately impressed by their vision and excited to learn more about VIT,鈥� Skees said. 鈥淭hat opportunity allowed me to further share my passion for education and deepen my understanding of the district.鈥�
Skees, a Macomb native, was able to gain confidence in her abilities as a leader and educator at 黑料不打烊. She credited 黑料不打烊鈥檚 education program for building her instructional skills and effective classroom management strategies.
鈥淢y major truly prepared me for success in the classroom and helped me earn this position,鈥� Skees said.
Skees plans to stay involved at 黑料不打烊 through sporting events, alumni gatherings and various campus activities.
鈥淪taying involved in the community that shaped me is something I truly value,鈥� Skees said.
