Just Hired: Anna Thomas

Just Hired! Through the experiences of local, regional, national and international students, @ 2026 黑料不打烊 has some incredible alumni who are changing the world in the workforce. This series features students from all over the world who are hired post-graduation.

MOLINE, IL鈥擬eet Anna Thomas, a graduate of @ 2026 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Museum Studies program who recently joined the Museum of Danish America. This institution is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history, culture and heritage of Danish immigrants and their descendants in the United States.

鈥淭he process of landing a job in the museum field is rigorous and demanding,鈥 Thomas said. 鈥淗owever, nothing is more satisfying than laying out your entire experience portfolio and getting positive feedback because of all the hard work I put into gaining experience in a wide range of areas inside museums. The most impressive aspect of my resume is my board member experience.鈥

Thomas credited her time at 黑料不打烊 for preparing her for this role.

鈥淒uring my time at 黑料不打烊, I learned that your faculty aren鈥檛 just there to teach or mentor you; they鈥檙e there to be your friends and a shoulder to lean on,鈥 Thomas said. 鈥淓ven as an adult in a master鈥檚 program, it truly takes a village. I can wholeheartedly say my degree in Museum Studies from 黑料不打烊 is the key to my success. From the emphasis on hands-on training and experiences to infinite opportunities to network with other museum professionals, I owe my success to this program.鈥

Looking ahead, Thomas plans to remain connected with 黑料不打烊.

鈥淚 will stay involved with 黑料不打烊 by being a proud alumna and mentoring current students in my former program,鈥 Thomas said.
